Cascade Hop Candy by B-Hoppy
Cascade is an aroma hop that was developed by the U.S.D.A. breeding program in Oregon and released in 1972. Sierra Nevada Brewing Company helped make this a famous hop varietal. As an aroma hop, there are a lot of oils but low alpha acids. The aroma of Cascade is medium strength and provides a unique floral and spicy character with well-balanced bittering potential. It is the most popular hop within the U.S. craft brewing industry and makes for one delicious hard Hop Candy!
Some notable beers made with Cascade include:
-Liberty Ale by Anchor Brewing
-Sierra Nevada Pale Ale by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company
-Mirror Pond Pale Ale by Deschutes
-Racer 5 by Bear Republic
-West Coast IPA by Green Flash
