The faucet shaft seat washer is the washer that actually stops the flow of beer on a standard, rear shutoff, beer faucet. This is the first little piece we look at when someone says there is slow dripping leak where the faucet couples to the shank. If this seal is old, worn, or torn in anyway it will let beer sneak by it causing that small leak. Of course, we also check that the faucet is properly tightened and that there is faucet coupling washer.
