New Cascade Hop Candy is made with the Cascade Hop.
New Cascade Hop Candy uses the Cascade hop which is an aroma hop that was developed by the U.S.D.A. breeding program in Oregon and released in 1972. Sierra Nevada Brewing Company helped make this a famous hop varietal. As an aroma hop, there are a lot of oils but low alpha acids. The aroma of Cascade is medium strength and provides a unique floral and spicy character with well-balanced bittering potential. It is the most popular hop within the U.S. craft brewing industry and makes for one delicious hard Hop Candy!
Some notable beers made with Cascade include:
-Liberty Ale by Anchor Brewing
-Sierra Nevada Pale Ale by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company
-Mirror Pond Pale Ale by Deschutes
-Racer 5 by Bear Republic
-West Coast IPA by Green Flash
